All financial resources received from the donors to help Maciek were collected on the accounts of two charities: PwC Foundation and Fundacja Dzieciom Zdążyć z Pomocą.
Funds collected on Maciek’s account in PwC Foundation amounted to PLN 163 thousand. These funds were distributed as follows:
- PLN 62 thousand (USD 18.750 thousand) were transferred to Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, to support TFEB gene research (further USD 18.750 thousand will be transferred to Houston in the next quarter);
- PLN 30 thousand was transferred to Gdansk University to Prof. Grzegorz Węgrzyn’s team, that is conducting genistein research;
- PLN 3 thousand was spent to organise charity events;
- PLN 3 thousand was spent to finance Maciek’s mom participation in MPS medical conference in Northamption (UK).
Funds collected on the account of Fundacja Dzieciom Zdążyć z Pomocą amounted to PLN 185 thousand, including PLN 110 thousand this month from 1% PIT donations (2010 tax returns).
PLN 18 thousand was spent so far on on Maciek’s treatment and rehabilitation. The remaining amount will be spent on further rehabilitation and search for cure in Poland and abroad.
